Win tickets to Spalding comedy night filled with great acts
A Spalding venue will be the host to a laughter-filled evening next month - and you could win tickets to be there.
The Spalding Comedy Night is set to be held at Imaginarium on Westlode Street on Friday, April 15.
The night, presented by Comedy Hotspot, will be bringing award winning world class comedy to our doorstep, with acts who are bound to have the audience in stitches.
Among the four acts set to appear is Joe Rowntree, who has gigged all over the world. His CV is full of achievements including being the person who wrote Anne Robinson’s infamous put-downs when she presented The Weakest Link.
Award-winning Peter Brush has supported Alexi Sayle, Paul Sinha and even Jason Manford. Described by Chortle as having ‘an original and achingly funny voice’, Peter will be bringing his finely crafted jokes to the evening.
Karen Bayley is no stranger to the comedy circuit, having performed for more than a decade all over the UK.
You might even recognise her from her appearances on the insurance adverts! Described as being ‘delightfully saucy’, she has a no-nonsense but very likeable presence on stage.
Finally, an internationally known star from Dublin is set to appear at the comedy night.
Rory O’Hanlon has performed all over the world and is known for his observational style. Hailed by the Irish Times as a ‘comedy canon’, his quick firing routines have made sure that he is a must-see act at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Doors open at 6pm on the night, with the show kicking off at 7:30pm. Tickets are £14 and can be bought from behind the bar at Imaginarium or online at www.comedyhotspot.co.uk.
For your chance to win a pair of tickets to the event and two cocktails (one per person), answer the question in Thursday's Spalding Guardian (March 24), fill in the entry coupon provided and follow the instructions.
Entries need to be received by first post on Thursday, March 31, when a winner will be picked at random.
