The glorious sounds of vocal ensemble Divers Voyces will once again fill Crowland Abbey on Saturday (Feb 25).
With the acoustics of the abbey said to be ideal for their music, which concentrates on medieval works, renaissance polyphony and early church music, the concert is deemed not to be missed.
Works by composers Byrd, Tallis, Palestrina, Morley, Lassus, and a Nunc Dimittis by Gustav Holst will be performed, with Jeremy Jepson conducting. He studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and at the Royal College of Music and directs Stamford Choral Society and Peterborough-based St Peter’s Singers.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £8 on the door.
