Upcoming Spalding-area events include circus, free festival and exhibitions

Here are some of the events taking place across the district over the coming weeks.

- Happy’s Circus at South View School, Crowland, Friday, June 17 between 6pm and 8pm. Traditional family variety entertainment including magician, clowns and jugglers. Tickets from www.seaty.co.uk/fosvcircus

- Summer Fete at South View School, Crowland, Friday, June 17 between 4pm and 6pm. There will be food, games and plenty of fun. Tickets from www.seaty.co.uk/fosvcircus

- Festival at Jolly Farmer, Moulton Chapel, Saturday June 18 starting at 4pm. The Sarah Skinner Band, The Very Beautiful South and the Soundinjectors will be playing. Free entry.- Open Day at Exotic Pet Refuge, Deeping St James, Sunday, June 19. Open 10 - 4pm. £7 entry for adults, £4 entry for children, free entry for under 4s. Free parking.

- The Wash 2022 Seal and Birdwatching Cruises with RSPB South Lincs on the Boston Belle are taking place throughout the year. The next date is Thursday, June 23 departing at 11:30am. Cruises set off from Boston Marina and last around four and a half to five hours.Tickets for RSPB members are £20 for adults and £10 for children. Non members tickets are £22.50 for adults and £11.50 for children. Tickets are available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/blackfriars or via 01205 363108.

- Art Exhibition at Holbeach WI Hall, Sunday, June 26. Doors open from 10am to 4pm. Includes a sale of pictures, art and related items.

- Spalding Gentlemen’s Society is open every Wednesday from 11am - 1pm.

- Lincolnshire Makers Market at the Sessions House, Spalding on Saturday, July 9 between 10am and 4pm. There will be more than 40 makers, creatives and food producers plus live music and refreshments.

- Late Summer Open Farm Day at Flatlands Alpacas, Crowland on Sunday, August 28. Open from 10am to 4pm with stalls, bouncy castle and more.

-Moulton’s Church Lane Sunflower Walk, Saturday September 3 and Sunday, September 4 from 10am - 4pm. Free market-in-driveways event includes arts and crafts. Call Mary on 01406 371209 if you would like to have a space or offer your driveway.

- The Friends of Crowland Abbey’s Siege of Crowland Abbey 1643, Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 on the Snowden Field, “Kissing Ground” and through the Streets of Crowland. Further details to come.
