Woad Fest at Moulton Windmill
The annual Woad Fest returns to Moulton Windmill this Saturday and Sunday (October 13 and 14).
The event sees arts and crafts including crochet, corn dolly making and woad dyeing.
Woad is a yellow-flowered plant of the cabbage family and a source of blue dye, which is an important crop from the area.
The weekend will teach all ages about the traditions of using woad.
Try crochet making from 11am until 12.30pm on Saturday and from 1pm until 2.30pm on Sunday.
Corn dolly making will be on offer from 1pm-2.30pm on Saturday and from 11am-12.30pm on Sunday.
Woad dyeing workshops are being held both Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 2pm.
There is free parking and disabled access into the mill and first floor. Refreshments are available and mill tours until 3pm.
