Alice in Wonderland to be staged in Crowland on February 14 and 15, 2020
The magical world of Alice in Wonderland comes to the stage in Crowland on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, 15.
Crowland Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS), is performing its panto, based on the classic Lewis Carroll tale, for the very first time.
Performances will be at Crowland’s South View Primary School at 7.30pm on the Friday and 2pm and 7.30pm on the Saturday.
All the favourite characters will be in the production, including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
CADS’ John Munton said: “We have never done this one before and we are very excited about it.”
There will be a chorus of around 20 children, and taking on the lead role of Alice is Lucy Hill in her debut role.
“This is her first production on stage with CADS and she is brilliant,” John said. “Before, she has done make-up and other stuff. It is really exciting.”
Among the cast, John is playing the dame, Joanne Strickland plays Hopping the rabbit, John Martin is the Mad Hatter and Jayne Munton and Matt Smith are Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
Tickets £7.50 (adults); £5.50 (children/concessions) via www.cadscrowland.co.uk
