Christmas concert to raise the roof in Great Hale by community-based group
The Heckington Singers perform at Great Hale Village Hall, near Heckington, on Saturday, December 7.
Led by musical director Anthony Baldery, the Christmas concert begins at 7.30pm.
They are a community-based singing group, formed in 2012.
The choir is open to all ages and abilities and is based on ‘enjoyment and fun of singing in a local community group’.
There are currently about 80 members in the choir, ranging from seasoned, experienced singers to absolute beginners.
The group says ‘we will never audition or turn anyone away who wants to join us’.
And the Heckington Singers perform two concerts a year – one in the summer and one at Christmas time – rehearsing for an hour once a week on a Monday evening at 7.30pm, during school term-time, in the Wesleyan Reform Chapel, Eastgate, Heckington.
Tickets for the concert on December 7 cost £9 and are available from Marianne on 01529 462839.
Advance booking is advised.
