Tickets on sale for concert by acclaimed classical Marylebone Trio at the South Holland Centre in February

Bringing new life to classical music with a twist, the renowned Marylebone Trio are set to perform an inspiring concert at the South Holland Centre, writes Patrick Walsh.

Formed in 2003, at the Royal Academy of Music, the classical woodwind trio has been working non-stop, building a reputation through various tours, concerts and workshops.

Their sets include a variety of music styles ranging from Bach and Beethoven to Schubert, Mozart and some 20th century pieces from France, Britain and Eastern Europe.

The band also play contemporary pieces commissioned for the group.

With Jenna Bausor on oboe, Helen James on clarinet and Alexandra Davidson on bassoon, this trio is a departure from the standard strings and piano line-up.

The trio has also provided music for cruise ships, garden parties and weddings with unique interpretations of jazz classics, pop arrangements and show tunes - certain to entertain any audience.

The show is on at the South Holland Centre on Sunday, February 10, at 3pm. Full price tickets are £13.50 and concessions are £12. Full-time students and under-16s go free.
