Tee off at Gedney Hill event for a good cause
A popular annual charity golf day will be held in aid of St Barnabas Hospice on Friday June 17.
The event takes place at Gedney Hill Golf Club and is organised by Terry Grantham .
He said: “This is the 13th one we’ve done - so I hope it’s not an unlucky one!”
The charity golf day is staged with permission of Charles Britton and runs from 8am to 6pm.
Entry to the AM-AM tournament costs £15 per player (£10 for members) and the price includes coffee and a bacon bap.
Prizes include rounds of golf at different local courses - including cut price rounds at Woodhall Spa, the home of English golf.
Last year’s event had to be re-arranged due to wet weather - but still made £1,200 for a cause that Mr Grantham, who turns 91 this month, has now supported for 25 years.
He said: “It’s a cause that is quite close to my heart, they do wonderful work.”
