Holby City and Casualty star Lee Mead will be performing his new show in Lincoln in October
TV and music star Lee Mead will be performing his new show at Lincoln Royal Theatre next month.
The event, titled ‘Lee Mead - My Band and Me’, is part of a tour that celebrates both his 40th birthday and career to date. It will come to Lincolnshire on October 22.
Mead will be performing songs from his five albums, as well as presenting new material he has been working on during recent lockdowns.
During a recent Q&A session, he spoke of his excitement about the upcoming tour.
“I can’t wait to be in front of live audiences again. I’ve missed it so much,” he said.
“Not only is it my job and my income but more than anything it is a huge part of who I am.
“I will be touring my first live album from the London Palladium along with my first DVD of the show, so it is mostly going to be that setlist but with some additional songs I have also co-written the last few months.”
Mead will also cover songs by artists like U2 and Rolling Stones, as well as favourites from Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat - a West End show that help to propel him into the spotlight at the start of his career.
Having not performed in front of a live audience for nearly a year and a half, he added that he cannt wait to be back in front of a theatre audience, who he has a unique connection with.
