Prepare for a packed evening of entertainment at this year’s Carnival Queen crowning in Pinchbeck on Friday (March 23).

Doors open at the village hall at 7pm for an evening packed with music, dancing and singing.

Pinchbeck Carnival Association vice-chairman John Pailing said: “We’ve got the Pinchbeck Tappers, the Guides and The Glen Group choir.

“We’ve also got local singer Ben Coaten, harpist Nina Chamberlain and Roger Fullilove who has recorded in Nashville.”

And there will be a host of local young talent from our schools performing on the night.

It all leads up to the judging of the carnival queen and attendants, with the fun running until about 10pm.

Last year’s carnival queen was Molly Smith.

She was chosen along with princess Briony Sweeting and younger princess, Sigourney Bolton.

The winners get the honour to lead the village’s carnival parade in the summer.

Entry to the Carnival Cabaret evening is by ticket only which can be purchased from John on 07853 963201.

Tickets are £2 for adults and £1 for children.
