Fireworks, fancy dress, live entertainment and more will be on show at this year's annual Pumpkin Festival, writes Patrick Walsh.

As always, there will be a range of products from fruit and veg to baked goods and teas at Spalding’s very own one-day festival.

This year's event will see the return of the popular market with a mixture of stalls, plus activities ranging from face-painting to pumpkin carving.

And there will, of course, be the renowned pumpkin parade throughout the town at 6.30pm and the breathtaking firework display at 7.30pm.

The festival is sponsored by David Bowman Pumpkins Ltd, and is supported by the Rotary Club of Spalding and Welland, Rotary Club of South Holland, Spalding Lions and Transported.

This event will take place on Friday, October 12, from 11am-8pm in Spalding town centre.
