Holbeach Marsh Vintage Tractor Events Charity Ploughing Weekend cancelled

A charity ploughing match and two fun days planned for this weekend (Oct 19 and 20), have been cancelled due to bad weather.

The Holbeach Marsh Vintage Tractor Events Charity Ploughing Weekend was due to be held at Caultons Farm, off Leadenhall Road, in Holbeach St Marks over Saturday and Sunday.

Unfortunately, because of heavy rain this month and more forecast for Friday night, organisers have made the decision to postpone the event due to conditions on the field being affected.

Kevin Pearsall, who had organised the event with his brother Stephen, said: "We hope to reschedule it in the coming weeks but they are worried about the field with the rain on Friday. It's just one of those things."

The event was open to spectators and was expected to attract vintage and antique tractors, as well as competitors for the ploughing match. It had been organised to raise money for the charity Prostate Cancer UK.
