Uptown’s Got Talent is coming to Pinchbeck Village Hall to help support cancer charity Macmillan.

Organiser Alan Barnsdale, of Uptown Vinyl Records in Pinchbeck, has been fundraising for the charity for many years.

Macmillan helped take care of his brother, who passed away seven years ago, so the charity is very “close to heart” for Alan.

The event takes place at Pinchbeck Village Hall, on Wednesday, August 29, at 7.30pm.

Normally, they would fundraise in the record shop with a live local band, however so many bands have wanted to perform that they couldn’t accommodate them all.

That inspired Alan to move venue to the larger village hall.

All of the money raised will be going towards Macmillan. The performers, photographers and soundmen all agreed to work for free in order to raise money for the good cause.

Jeff Woods, aka ‘Pavanotti’, will be taking the reins as master of ceremonies, and he is known for his comedy and singing, along with his charity work.

There will also be a raffle to accompany the 10 currently-booked acts.

There are a few tickets still remaining for the event at £6. To book, contact 01775 722271.
