Flower power in area's churches




Many of South Holland's annual colourful church flower festivals start this weekend, with others continuing after kicking off last week.

Festivals that started last week are St Mary and the Holy Rood, Donington (until Sunday 5), All Saints, Moulton (until Monday), St Laurence Church, Surfleet (until Monday), St Maryʼs, Long Sutton (until Monday), St Maryʼs, Pinchbeck (until Monday), St Maryʼs, Sutterton (until Monday), St Peter & St Paul, Gosberton (until Monday) and St Peter & St Paul Wigtoft (until Monday).

Those that start on Wednesday include St Bartholomew's, West Pinchbeck (until Monday, Festival of Praise with congregation's choice of favourite hymns and refreshments at 7pm Friday) and St James, Moulton Chapel (until Monday, village parade 3pm Sunday).

Startingon Thursday is Gosberton Methodist Church (until Monday with 'Songs of Praise' service at 6pm on Sunday), Moulton Chapel Methodist Church (until Monday).

Starting Friday is All Saints, Holbeach (until Monday), Fleet Baptist (until Monday), St Paulʼs, Fulney (until Tuesday).

And starting on Saturday is St John the Evangelist, Weston Hills (until Monday) and Sutterton Methodist (until Monday).

There is a craft fair at Crowland Abbey on Monday from 10am to 4pm.
