Singer-songwriter who has toured with Lionel Richie, Little Mix and more plays in Spalding this Friday
Acclaimed British singer-songwriter Philippa Hanna brings her passion returns to Spalding next month.
She brings her phenomenal voice to Spalding Baptist Church, a venue she played two years ago, on Friday, January 25, at 7.30pm.
The concert is part of Philippa's eight-leg "365" live tour, with the title being taken from her latest book, "Amazing You".
The Barnsley-born artist has toured with Lionel Richie, Little Mix, Leona Lewis, Wet Wet Wet and Anastacia.
That’s as well as becoming a leading light in the Christian and gospel scene in Europe.
She now splits her time between Sheffield and Nashville - and a hectic international touring schedule.
Born into a musical family, her brother is Stuart Zender (Jamiroquai) and her cousins are Richard and Danny McNamara (Embrace), Philippa has released five albums and three books since launching her musical career in 2007.
Her most recent album, Come Back Fighting, was released in 2017 - the same year when she toured with 2014 Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro.
Before her visit to Spalding in 2017, Philippa said: "I'm a singer-songwriter who is really passionate about writing songs that people can relate.
"My Christian faith is at the centre of my songs and I definitely think that my journey in life has been really integral to the music I write.
"Life wasn't as A to B as I thought it would be, but having such a zig-zag of a path in life has helped me to write songs that feel so natural and through which I can express myself.
"God is the source of all good things and when people are creating inspirational content, making beautiful, heartfelt music that touches lives, tremendous things can happen."
Tickets for the concert priced £10 for adults and £5 for under-18s are available from Ben and Debbie Clarke on 07825 173926.
