Members of Spalding Music Centre Senior String Orchestra will be performing in the town on Tuesday.

They have a concert planned at St Mary & St Nicolas Church, Spalding, at 7pm.

The ensemble, led by Justyna Galkowska (conductor) and Becky Brown, meets weekly at the South Holland Centre.

The orchestra provides an opportunity for accomplished youngsters to develop and broaden their musical skills.

Younger, or less advanced students can join the Junior String Orchestra. There is also the MashUp Ensemble of mixed instruments, for any standard of player.

They are all staffed by professional musicians working for Lincolnshire Music Service.

All three ensembles will be performing in Tuesday’s concert, giving an evening of varied and entertaining music in the beautiful setting of the historic church.

People living in the area are invited to go along and support the young musicians. Tickets are £5, accompanied children free.

Proceeds to be divided between the church and Spalding Music Centre.
