Look back on 2018 in this year's hilarious sketch show Revue at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum - with the team behind Act II

This is one for the grown-ups - an irreverent musical sketch show lampooning the year's news.

For the sixth year running, Act II's Karl and Charlotte Gernert are bringing back their satirical show 'Revue'.

Trump, Brexit, Ant and Dec, and other international, national and local stories will feature - "including a few characters from these parts", said Karl.

"The show has been steadily growing annually," he added, "both in terms of audience and the boldness of our sketches.

"We have been writing since late November and we started rehearsing last week. The trouble with satire is everything is a bit last minute.

"We regularly make changes to the script once the show is up and running, to try to keep up with current events!

"It's been a busy year across the world as always, so we have plenty of material from the worlds of politics, celebrities, local matters and much much more."

The show runs Wednesday, December 12, at 7pm, Thurs at 7pm, Friday (7pm and 9pm) and Saturday (7pm and 9pm) at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum in Spalding.

  • Tickets are £5 and booking is advisable, particularly for the Friday and Saturday shows. Call 01775 764555.
