Celebrating the daffodil as Taylors Bulbs in Holbeach turns 100 years old




Next month Taylors Bulbs, in Holbeach, hosts a Daffodil Day in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

It ties in with the firm's centenary celebrations and people will be able to hear informative talks about daffodils and other bulbs from renowned experts at the site.

They will also be able to visit the bulb fields - where there are over 400 varieties of daffodils growing, visit the Taylors' trial ground and see the machinery involved in producing the bulbs.

The day is on Wednesday, April 10, and there is a small charge of £5 per person for the day, which includes a light lunch and refreshments.

The firm's Adam Taylor said: "We have a busy and exciting year ahead of us with various centenary celebrations planned.We are delighted that the RHS are collaborating with us for Daffodil Day."
