Plenty of fun for the whole family at Celebrate Surfleet 2019

Celebrate Surfleet is returning with its annual Summer Fete and Fun Dog Show this Sunday ( September 8), writes VICTORIA NIXON.

Starting at 11am and running until 4pm at Glen Park in the village, the celebratory event will be packed with entertainment, including a display by LIVES voluntary emergency service and a demonstration and talk by Lincs Dog Training - Made Easy.

There will also be a balloon modelling workshop, the Kuk Sul Won martial arts team in the arena and Mullered at the Mill performing live music.

The entry fee is £2 per adult and free entry for children, with money raised going towards the community of Surfleet, including to help buy a fifthdefibrillator for the village.

Dog owners can choose from a number of classes to enter their prize pet as part of the Fun Dog Show, with registration taking place from 11am onwards, and any dog registered is eligible to win Best in Show.

Some great prizes can be won in the raffle, including cash prizes, a giant teddy, a hot air balloon flight and even a weekend away for two.

The draw takes place between 3pm-4pm, and tickets are on sale at The Crown, The Mermaid and also at Surfleet Post Office.
