There will be plenty of fun to be had when a special festival takes place this weekend.

The Holbeach Medieval Festival will give visitors the opportunity to experience what life was like in the middle ages.

There will be so much to learn at the festival, which is being organised by South Holland district councillor Tracey Carter – who is working with David Smith.

You’ll be able to watch a sword fighting tourney and minstrels, jesters, jugglers and dancers. There will be craftsmen and women, plus sideshows, traders and demonstrations.

The free festival is a two-day event, taking place around Holbeach, in Carter’s Park and the church grounds on Saturday, July 2 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, July 3 from 10am to 4pm.
