Music festival returns to The Bell in Weston Hills
The Bell Inn at Weston Hills hosts its annual charity music festival on Sunday, July 14.
For the 11th year, the festival is raising funds for a selection of good causes, but it is free for people to go along to the outdoors event, writes LUKE WILLIAMSON.
Performing at the event this year are Suburban Toys, Old Boy of the Fens and the co-organisers The Sound Injectors, alongside a number of other local artists.
The Fat Dogs, The Rudolph Hooker Band and new Spalding band Staggered are also set to perform, with the first act hitting the stage at 3pm.
Dean Fitchett, from The Sound Injectors, said: “This year, we have the Oh My Cod fish and chips van coming down and there is also a bouncy castle which is free to get on as well, and there’s some good beer too!
“We have a tombola and then raffles that are helping to raise money for the local charities that we support.
“Obviously, if there are people who visit the Bell regularly who are involved in a charity, then we’ll talk to them first,” he added.
The organisers will then have a meeting to decide how the funds will be shared out.
If there are any other local artists that want to get involved with the festival, call Dean on 07790 547464.
