South Holland pantomimes, elf trails, Winter Wonderland walks, worships and new year parties coming up
There may be a little confusion over what can and can’t go ahead this Christmas, but there are still plenty of fun events to look forward to in South Holland.
Over the next week, the Polka Dot Panto group’s Dick Whittington performances will continue to light up the stage at the South Holland Centre.
The show tells the rags-to-riches tale of a young man and his cat on an exciting quest for fame and fortune as he dreams of becoming Lord Mayor of London.
Drinks and snacks are available to pre-order on the South Holland Centre website if you wish you skip the queues.
There are two shows today (Thursday) at 2pm and 6pm if you fancy going down.
There are then shows on December 24, 27, 28, and 29 - with the grand finale at 2pm on December 30.
Spalding’s elf trail will also draw to a close tomorrow (Christmas Eve), so make sure to take part soon if you want to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.
Numerous shops are taking part, and if you are able to find the elf’s names you will be entered into a prize draw which could see you win some brilliant shop vouchers.
At Springfields Outlet Shopping & Leisure, you can make sure you’re in the proper festive mood by taking a walk around their Winter Wonderland.
There are a series of great lights and decorations hiding amongst the trees, and it’s sure to provide some fun for all the family in the build-up to Christmas Day.
All proceeds from ticket sales go towards the Royal British Legion.
St John the Baptist Church in Spalding is hosting a family worship on Boxing Day.
It will consist of a relaxed, informal gathering which is specifically aimed at a younger audience.
Each service has a relevant and interesting theme with readings, songs and activities designed to engage both children and adults.
Staff at The Fisherman’s Arms in Spalding are also looking forward to their New Year’s Eve disco.
It will kick off at 10pm on the big night.
