Dance showcase at South Holland Centre

Inclusive dance groups from across the county will perform alongside national acclaimed dance company Casson & Friends at Spalding’s South Holland Centre on Friday (March 9).

The 11 Million Reasons to Dance project, celebrating dancers with disabilities is now in its second year and the show will be presented in conjunction with artsNK and Transported.

Casson & Friends will headline the event with professional dance piece Night at the Theatre, which features an integrated, disabled and non-disabled cast of three performers.

Dancer Laura Dajao, who recently ran an inclusive workshop at the South Holland Centre over February half-term, will perform a new solo piece.

The show includes dancers from Spalding, who have been working with their dance teachers for a year towards the showcase and other local performances.

They will be performing pieces themed in response to famous dance movies featured in the 11 Million Reasons to Dance photo exhibition, which toured nationally and visited Spalding in January.
