A Christmas tree festival run by Kirton Parish Council will make its return in early December
Members of the fundraising team at Kirton Parish Church are getting ready for their popular Christmas Tree Festival.
Beautifully decorated Christmas trees will be in church for one weekend only this year, with the festival running from Friday, December 3, at 7pm, on the Saturday from 11am to 4pm and rounding off on Sunday afternoon at 4pm.
Church warden Fay Baillie said: “It is almost two years since we held our last Christmas Tree Festival and we have been busy contacting the local businesses and organisations who support us. I am very pleased to say that many of them will be displaying a tree again this year. There is no theme for the trees and I am looking forward to seeing all the different interpretations of a beautiful Christmas tree!
“This is our tenth Christmas Tree Festival and this year we are trying something different, a preview evening. Tickets are £5 and include a glass of wine and nibbles and it should be a fun evening. Contact details are on our website –www.kirtongroup.com”
There will be almost 30 beautifully decorated trees to see, and the weekend will see gift and bric-a-brac stalls, a tombola and a grand Christmas raffle. A chocolate lucky dip and cuddly toy tombola will be joined by usual homemade refreshments.
