Chicago, the High School Edition, comes to Spalding
Come on babe, why don’t you paint the town....and all that jazz! Welcome to Chicago.
The classic Broadway and West End musical gets the Act II treatment in this ‘High School Edition’, keeping the spirit of the original show and songs intact.
Performances are on Thursday, February 6 and Friday 7, at 7.30pm at Spalding’s South Holland Centre.
This is said to be the first time the show has been seen in Spalding.
Many beloved songs such as Cell Block Tango, Mr Cellophane and Razzle Dazzle, plus electric Fosse-style dance routines feature in this high-octane musical extravaganza, complete with a thirteen-piece live band.
The performance is brought to us by Act II’s Advanced Skills group.
Director Charlotte Gernert said: “Chicago is such a well-known and well-loved musical that we are really looking forward to doing it justice, while bringing it to new audiences. Storytelling is at the heart of this show, and we have a great story to tell using acting, music, dance and a few surprises!”
Tickets cost £10 for adults (£8 for concessions/£7 per ticket for groups of 10+).
