Sam Kelly and The Lost Boys play Spalding on March 2.

Britain’s Got Talent finalist and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Sam Kelly is at Spalding’s South Holland Centre on Friday (March 2) at 8pm.

He and his band The Lost Boys have also been nominated for this year’s BBC Radio 2’s Folk Awards in Best Group category.

They have already recorded and produced over ten acclaimed records, and had wide national airplay.

The group’s success has been attributed in part to Sam’s unmistakable vocals and also to the band’s ability to breathe new life into traditional music with an intoxicating mix of youthful exuberance and instrumental virtuosity.

At their concerts, audiences are promised “haunting harmonies, soaring tunes and melodies, charming anecdotes and instrumental performances of the highest calibre.”

Tickets are £15.50, £14.50 for concessions or £7.50 under 26s. Available from the box office on 01775 764777 or via www.southhollandcentre.co.uk
