Baston Car Show returns to Grimsthorpe Castle

More news, no ads

There will be so much to see when one of the biggest car and bike shows in the country takes place.

At the spectacular setting of Grimsthorpe Castle, the Baston Car Show will be taking place on Sunday, July 10.

The show had grown so large over the past few years that it was decided a relocation to a bigger venue would be the best idea just before Covid struck.

The event, which is now organised by Live Promotions (the promoters who organised the Platinum Jubilee Pageant of Motoring at Sandringham Estate), promises to be a fantastic experience for everyone.

Amongst the ‘special exhibits’ will be at least two ex-Formula 1 cars – the BRM P153 (that raced in the 1971/72 seasons) and the BRM 160 that raced in the 1971-1974 seasons.

Also in action this year will be a host of Lombard Rally Cars – which will be roaring throughout the Grimsthorpe Estate grounds.

In addition to hundreds of private entries and club displays, the organisers have arranged for a special flypast by the Lancaster from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial team.

On the ground there will be a host of trade and food stands, plus live entertainment featuring local bands The Houndogs and The Sound Injectors.
