From housewife to stand-up comedian, Barbara Nice is on stage in Spalding in February
Comedian and TV's Phoenix Nights' Janice Connolly performs at Spalding's South Holland Centre on Saturday, February 23, in her guise as comic housewife Barbara Nice.
Following on from her four-part BBC Radio 2 sitcom in March 2017, Janice takes Barbara's 'ordinary housewife extraordinaire' persona on the road.
Barbara has given up the domestic bliss of Tupperware and Poundstretcher shops for the unpredictability of the comedy circuit. (Her husband thinks she's at the bingo).
No audience is too rowdy for her to handle - she's already raised five teenagers. She believes in bargains, Take a Break magazine and getting the most from life. Oh and stage-diving!
With her enviable track record of garnering five star reviews and sell-out shows, Barbara is said to promise to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step with this new show about chance and luck.
Janice was spotted by Phoenix Nights' Peter Kay when she played Barbara at The North West new act final that he had won the previous year.
He then asked her to be in his new series 'That Peter Kay Thing' and later in Phoenix Nights.
The entrance price for the show at the South Holland Centre on February 23 includes a complimentary raffle ticket. Age Guidance for the performance is 14+
It starts at 8pm and tickets cost £15 (full price), £13 or £7.50 for concessions. Book on 01775 764777 or via www.southhollandcentre.co.uk
