LEARN MOREA popular band is gearing up to play its first live gig in more than a year this weekend.
Zebra will be dusting off their instruments on Saturday when they are set to play at Spalding’s Drayman’s Arms.
Due to the pandemic, the band has not played live since early March 2020, and even just meeting to rehearse has been emotional for the group.
Keyboard player Mark Le Sage said: “We have all found it really difficult, not being able to play live music or see each other.
“Our first band practice was very emotional and a few tears were shed because it just means so much to us.
“It’s just so nice to be back together again and we are really looking forward to the gig.
“It’s going to be brilliant to be playing live music again and we hope everyone comes along for what promises to be an excellent night!”
The group will be playing two 40 minute long sets between 9pm and 11pm on July 3. Entry will be free.
The band will also play at Bands on the Bank in Wainfleet on August 14.
