Bakkavor Fun Weekend 2019 is almost here

Bakkavor’s Charity Family Fun Weekend is returning once again for another year of fireworks, stalls and live music, writes Patrick Walsh.

On July 20 and 21, food manufacturing company, Bakkavor, is looking to raise money for local and national charities through their festival for both employees and the public.

From 11am on the Saturday, Bakkavor employees and their families have free entry. From 6pm onward, the festival will be open to the public and the ‘Party In The Park’ will begin!

Throughout the night, various artists will be performing from The Score, to U2 and Abba tribute acts.

The night will finally conclude with a stunning firework display at 11pm.

Tickets are available at the South Holland Centre and are £7 for 16+ and £3 for children.

On the Sunday, the fun continues, with visitors getting unlimited access to fair rides and activities.

“It’s brilliant that Bakkavor can host a weekend of fun and entertainment” said Mike Edwards of Bakkavor, UKC.

“It’s a huge event but last year we were able to donate over £25,000 to charities as a result”.

Wristbands for Sunday, bought on the gates, are £10 for adults and £5 for children.

The event will be held at the Springfields Events Centre.
