TV crews are attracted to Moulton Mill project

Have your say

MOULTON Mill is attracting the attention of television film crews as it nears the final stages of its restoration.

The last and visually most important part of the project is to get the sails back on, and those involved in the project are confident that should happen before the autumn.

Producers of the BBC’s The One Show have contacted project manager Janet Prescott to say they want to feature the mill on the show when the sails are going on, so they will hopefully be filming in August.

In the meantime, a film crew for the BBC programme Country Tracks has been at the mill recording a slot to be included in the summer schedule.

Friends of Moulton Mill chairman Alan Lambert said the crew had talked to the last miller John Biggadike, who still lives in the village, to Janet Prescott, as well as those involved in making the 208 shutters that will be attached to the main frame of the sails.
