Spalding High School art students are in overdrive ahead of showcasing their work to the community.
Teenagers from GCSE, AS and A-level groups are now hard at work in preparation for the school’s forthcoming Exhibition 16, a celebration of the outstanding creative achievements and imagination shown by students in Years 11, 12 and 13.
The students whose work will be on show are studying a range of subjects, including art and design, food and nutrition, textiles and product design.
The exhibition takes place in the Sixth Form Common Room at Spalding High School on Tuesday, June 7, from 6pm until 8.30pm.
Head of art Liz Kelleher said: “As well as showcasing the students’ exceptional work, the evening will also give parents and carers the opportunity to consider, with their daughters, what option choices are available to them.
“Students will have the chance to sit down with specialist staff at the school, but they are also keen to welcome as many visitors as possible on June 7 and they look forward to discussing their work with guests.”
The success of last year’s exhibition led headmistress Michele Anderson to say: “The quality of the work exhibited was simply astounding.”
