Engineers and scientists in South Holland, Bourne and the Deepings are invited to a festival of ideas at Lincoln Cathedral this weekend.
The SPARK Engineering Festival is Lincolnshire’s leading technology event where experts in civil, architectural and mechanical engineering will be meeting and exciting visitors with the wide range of opportunities within the world of science and industry.
It all takes place within the surroundings of the 11th century Gothic cathedral where a schools’ day opens the free event on Friday, followed by public sessions from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and 12pm until 3pm on Sunday.
Julie Smith of the Lincolnshire Engineering Panel said: “The application of engineering is all around us in our daily lives and the SPARK Engineering Festival is an opportunity to meet with engineers and find out about Lincolnshire’s engineering organisations and their products.
“To gain an appreciation of how engineering influences our society and the significant role it plays, people should seriously consider visiting SPARK which, I think, all ages will find both interesting and stimulating.”
