Two community artists will be turning bus shelters into picture postcards in four villages across South Holland next week.
Jo Wheeler and Manya Benenson are leading The Village Postcard Project run by the Transported community arts programme.
Each session is from 10am until 6pm, with the first taking place today at the wooden bus shelter next to The Bull Inn, Church Street, Pinchbeck.
On Thursday, Jo and Manya will be at the brick bus shelter in High Road, Whaplode, then the wooden bus shelter in High Road, Moulton, on Friday and finally the brick bus shelter opposite St Mary’s Church, Barrier Bank, Cowbit, on Saturday.
Jo said: “It is the stories gathered from local people that has inspired us to create these tiny exhibition spaces.
“We hope they will prompt questions and stimulate more thoughts around village identity and the use of bus shelters as spaces to share art.”
