A SOIREE with a fantasy theme allowed hairdressing students to show off their skills.
The Studio 16 students from South Holland Post 16 Centre have been working on the event since the beginning of term and it allowed them to represent their ideas on stage.
The evening also included two dance routines from the Post 16 Performing Arts group.
The entries were judged by Gleed Girls’ Technology College headteacher Janet Daniels and two professionals from companies who have supported the salon.
Rebecca Horrell was chosen as the winner for the overall look of her model and the research and effort she put in to her storyboard.
Head of sixth form Sarah Scott said: “It was lovely to see two of our subject groups working together to showcase their talents.”
The Post 16 Centre is to hold an open evening on Tuesday, November 8, from 4pm to 8pm for anyone interested in looking around and talking to tutors about available courses.
