A star-studded cast of superheroes made Bakkavor Spalding a no-go area for comic book-style villains trying to take over the world.
Staff in fancy dress took part in a Ramp up the Red day in aid of the British Heart Foundation on Friday that included competitions, cake stalls and a prize raffle.
The day raised more than £450 for the charity and event organiser Ashia Maskery said: “It was awesome, everybody had fun and we had a right laugh.
“There were quite a few Batmans and Batgirls, an Incredible Hulk and Flash, but best dressed superhero competition winner Ian Dring was in the zone as Robin.
“We had a few people who were off work during the week but came in to work just for the event.”
Ashia (24), a skilled operative at Bakkavor Spalding, organised the event for British Heart Foundation in support of her mum and fiancee who both have heart conditions.
“They both struggle with things daily, but the help they’ve had from nurses, GPs and the British Heart Foundation has been really good.
“We would like to thank everybody who has participated and contributed to the Ramp up the Red event and helped make it a success.
“We are also grateful for the support of companies in the area who generously donated towards the raffle.
“This was a test run for next year when we’re planning to get the whole site involved and I’m quite confident that we may be able to raise £1,000 for charity.”
