Dire Straits' John Illsley to appear at Spalding's South Holland Centre

One of the founding members of legendary rock 'n' roll band Dire Straits will take to the stage at Spalding's South Holland Centre on Friday, March 27.

Bass guitarist John Illsley started the band with Mark Knopfler, churning out hits such as Money for Nothing, Brothers in Arms, Romeo and Juliet and Sultans of Swing.

The evening will feature classics from the Dire Straits history and a Q&A led by Paul Cummins (ex-Dire Straits management). Paul will be asking questions, during which John will reveal the story and development of the band from its humble beginnings.
