More news, no ads

Spalding crime novelist Christina James will be appearing at the town's Bookmark store on Thursday, November 14, to talk about the latest book in her DI Yates series.

Christina sets her crime thriller series in the backdrop of the Fenland countryside.

Her eight novel in the series is called 'Chasing Hares', and sees DI Tim Yates and DS Juliet Armstrong investigating hare coursing gangs in isolated rural Lincolnshire - but their discoveries lead them towards a series of brutally violent acts.

Her previous book, Gentleman Jack (nothing to do with the recent BBC series of the same name), was a gripping murder mystery that threw in many twists and turns and her latest book looks to be just as nail-biting.

Christina, who was a student at Spalding High School, has run numerous writers' workshops at various venues, including Spalding Library.

'An Evening with Christina James' starts at 7pm at Bookmark in The Crescent, Spalding, on November 14. Tickets are £5, available from Bookmark on 01775 769231.

  • For those unable to attend the evening event, Christina will also be in store from 11am -2pm on the day to sign copies of her books.
