Off With Their Heads - Be Good: Album review

By Spalding Reporter

American punk rock band ‘Off With Their Heads’ are back again with their latest offering ‘Be Good’.

This is the fifth studio album from the ever changing line up of this group.

It is a return to classic punk after the folk/punk previous album ‘Won’t Be Missed.’

If you’ve seen the video for track ‘Disappear’ it features the band with American comedian Kyle Kinane.

‘No Love’ and ‘Let it All’ are belters, into which you’d expect to see a concert audience pack a full blown mosh pit.

It’s crazy, chaotic and relentless! These are beautifully complimented by ‘Tear Me Apart’, which features melodic guitar work and lead singer Ryan Young’s gravelly voice.

Most of the songs are filled with pure moments of rage from the vocals and the pummelling of the drums.

The final two songs ‘Locking Eyes’ and ‘Death’ bring the album to a calmer conclusion compared to the rest of the manic tracks.

‘Be Good’ is a full on, hardcore punk filled album, which at times can be a bit repetitive.

However, if you want a punk album to easily shout along with, then this is a perfect fit for you.

The album is out now.
