ALBUM REVIEW: Larry And His Flask return with their brand new album
Larry And His Flask - This Remedy: Out October 12
After a short hiatus, Larry And His Flask are back with a their new album "This Remedy," something fresh for both new and old fans alike.
Their sound is described as a unique fusion of genres such as folk, rock, bluegrass and gypsy jazz known as Post-Americana which is not too far from their early, free-spirited EPs.
From busking on street corners to taking the stage at Vans Warped Tour, this Oregon based quintet emanates huge levels of energy live which perfectly translates to their new album from start to end.
"Doing Fine's" upbeat chorus and chirpy trumpet flourishes set a tone which is present throughout the whole album and gives the listener an insight into the complex and sophisticated instrumentation on display throughout the entire album.
Other tracks like "Hoping Again" show a softer side to the band, making use of a swung drum beat and a mellow guitar tone that is certain to keep the listener's attention.
From start to end, Larry And His Flask, display their expertise in instrumentation and fail to miss a beat leaving the listener wanting more.
Larry And His Flask are going on tour on October 13 and their new album is available for pre-order on Xtra mile recordings on CD, vinyl and digital.
