Klezmer, Mediterranean and Balkan music in a unique show at Crowland Abbey
Colourful musical ensemble Don Kipper, play at Crowland Abbey in April.
The multi award-winning seven-piece play a wide range of traditional musical forms - reflecting the cultural diversity of North East London, from Turkish and Greek folk music to Romani and Klezmer.
The band say they are equally happy taking an intimate audience on a musical journey through Europe, as they are taking their feet on a frantic journey around the dance floor.
Since 2013, they have performed as the BBC Introducing act at the WOMAD festival, released two albums, been featured on BBC Radio 3 and the BBC World Service.
They've also played two European tours, and won the titles of both the Moshe Beregovski Award for best Klezmer Newcomers and World Music Network's Battle of the Bands.
The concert, which is on Sunday, April 7, starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from Bridge Hardware in Crowland, the Abbey or on line from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/623538 (booking fee applies). Price is £10 in advance/£12.50 on the door.
