Holbeach United make progress in FA Cup after win over Fakenham Town at Carter's Park

If all of Holbeach United’s weeks this season are like the first one, the fans are in for a whirlwind time.

First-half goals from Jack Smith and captain Spencer Tinkler secured the Tigers a trip to BetVictor Southern League Division One Central side Corby Town in the Emirates FA Cup preliminary round on August 24.

The win against lower-league Fakenham Town on Saturday was achieved with a squad that was only big enough to have three players on the subs’ bench.
