Holbeach United are out of this season’s FA Vase after a 3-2 extra time defeat to south east London side Erith and Belvedere at Carter’s Park.

Lee Dube gave the Tigers a dream start with a goal after just two minutes, but Byron Walker equalised for the Deres before a defensive mix-up when Kern Miller headed past stranded Holbeach goalkeeper Nick Conroy before half time.

Jamie Duffy equalised with 20 minutes of normal time remaining to take the tie into 30 minutes of extra time.

But nine minutes into the first period, Erith striker Adam Marsh scored a superb winner to send the Tigers out.

Meanwhile, Spalding United suffered their second defeat in a row in Evo-Stik Division One South, losing 2-1 at Mickleover Sports.

Jamie Stevens gave the Tulips the lead after just 31 seconds but two goals, one in each half, leave Pat Rayment’s side in sixth place, 14 points behind leaders Sutton Coldfield Town who come to Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field next Saturday.

There was better news for Deeping Rangers in the UCl Premier Division where Tuncay Korkmaz’s side ran out 5-1 winners at Huntingdon Town, including two goals each for Mohammed Hamid and David Burton-Jones.

In UCL Division One, Bourne Town lost 2-0 to Wellingborough Whitworth at the Abbey Lawn but in contrast, Moulton Harrox reached the Lincs FA Junior Cup final after a 4-3 win over Brumby.
