Enoch Opayinka scores four goals as Pinchbeck United defeat Newark FC in the United Counties League Premier Division North

Spalding United secured a hard-fought point to stretch their unbeaten run to six games in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division on Saturday.

The Tulips shared the spoils in a 1-1 away draw at Sutton Coldfield which leaves them in eighth place in the league table.

Gabriel Zakuani's side had taken the lead with 15 minutes remaining when substitute Ryan Flitton netted for the Tulips.

However, the hosts hit back with just five minutes left as Alex Smith's strike denied the Tulips a sixth successive win.

They are back on their travels again on Tuesday night when they visit seventh-placed Ilkeston Town.

A sensational first half performance laid the foundations for Pinchbeck United's 5-2 home win over Newark FC in the United Counties League Premier Division North.

They took the lead after just two minutes when Enoch Opayinka won and then converted the resultant penalty.

Haydn Havard doubled the lead three minutes later before Opayinka added his second and Pinchbeck's third before the midway mark in the opening period.

Opayinka then completed his hat-trick just past the half-hour mark before netting his fourth of the afternoon six minutes into the second period after another assist from impressive debutant Warren Hebblethwaite.

Newark then scored two goals in as many minutes to reduce the deficit through Nathan Smith and Danny Meadows.

However, Newark's Will Rawdon was then red-carded in the latter stages as Pinchbeck picked up their second win in three matches.

A goal at the end of each half saw Holbeach United beaten by much-fancied Long Eaton at Carter's Park.

Micah Jebbison gave the league leaders the advantage a minute before half-time with Ben Hutchinson then sealed the win with three minutes remaining.

Bourne fell at the first hurdle in their FA Vase clash on Saturday.

The Wakes were left to rue a number of missed chances as they went down to a 2-1 home defeat against United Counties League Division One pacesetters Belper United.
