Kettering RFC v Spalding RFC (Saturday, 3pm): OUT of sorts Town couldn’t have wished for a tougher test as they bid to register a first away win of the season.
Harry Sharman’s Spalding have lost all five of their games on the road this season and go into the clash third from bottom.
The last time they tasted a league victory on enemy territory was way back on February 26, a narrow 3-0 success at Dunstablians.
Having conceded 134 points in their last two outings – including a hefty 73-6 Memorial Field beating against Paviors last Saturday – Town are massive underdogs against a Kettering side that have been untouchable on home soil.
The second-placed outfit have racked up three wins out of three, conceding just 26 points in the process.
It isn’t all doom and gloom for Town though. Kettering have been beaten this season – by a Bedford Athletic team that lost 18-17 at Spalding a month ago.
