SHOOTING: Aaron aiming at European Games gold
Trap shooter Aaron Heading has been named in the Team GB squad for the second European Games at the end of next month.
The former Commonwealth Games gold medallist from Long Sutton will be going for gold at the Olympic Trap shotgun event in Belarussian capital Minsk from June 21 to 30.
Heading, who runs the Priory Clay Target Centre at Sutton Bridge with his wife Natasha, has competed in three Commonwealth Games and he won the World Cup last summer.
He is also aiming for a place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
British Shooting performance director Steven Seligmann said: “We are very pleased to announce a strong shooting team that will represent Team GB across all disciplines - rifle, pistol and shotgun - at the second European Games.”
