RUGBY UNION: 'We know it's going to be tough'

Newly-promoted Bourne kick off a fresh challenge on Saturday.

They head to St Neots in the Midlands Three East (South), having finished just seven points behind them last term.

Bourne captain Tom Dixon said: "It's a new challenge and a great opportunity for us.

"We deserve this after last season and it's good to start against a team who we know well.

"Hopefully we can get a win under our belt and build some confidence.

"We will enjoy travelling to new grounds and meeting different teams. We know it's going to be tough.

"We have worked on our fitness and technique during pre-season to get ready for a higher standard.

"There will be a couple of strong sides who were relegated from the league above when we need to look at our performance rather than the scoreline.

"We can target more points in other competitive games as we aim to stay in the league."
