Pinchbeck United sign quartet to continue preparations for United Counties League season
Pinchbeck United's preparations for the new season continue to gather pace after another quartet of players committed their future to the United Counties League club.
Midfielder Joe Melson has re-signed for another season with Lewis Thorogood's side while Harry Machin has been elevated to the first team squad after impressing for the reserves.
Young Chesterfield striker Nathan Moss has again been dual registered with the Knights who have also signed former King's Lynn Under 21 frontman Enoch Opayinka who netted in their recent friendly win over Bourne Town.
Boss Thorogood said: "Enoch is a powerful, quick and skilful forward and we welcome him to the club.
"Nathan is developing his attacking game well in senior football and this accompanies his development at Chesterfield very well. He is a character in the camp and passionate to succeed.
"Harry has graduated from the reserve side and is a strong, athletic and direct midfielder who has a great future ahead. He is an old school style midfielder.
"Joe is also a key part of the midfield. He is a strong and technically gifted player who has developed well in senior football and I am confident that he will kick on this season."
Pinchbeck are back in action on Saturday when they host Doncaster Rovers Academy Under 18s at the Sir Halley Stewart ground in Spalding.
The match kicks-off at 1pm with admission priced at £5 for adults, £3 concessions and £2 for children aged from 10-16 years. Under 10s go free.
The Knights' scheduled pre-season friendly at Swaffham Town over the weekend was cancelled due to coronavirus concerns.
Bourne Town went down to a 4-2 home reversal against Lincoln United's Development Squad on Saturday while Moulton Harrox were beaten 3-1 at March Town.
Harrox host Holbeach United in their next pre-season friendly at Broad Lane on Wednesday night (kick-off 7pm).
