Zak Munton fired a third hat-trick of the season then showed his loyalty to stay at Bourne Town.
The striker took his tally to 17 goals - including nine in October - as the Wakes smashed seven past bottom-of-the-table Raunds Town at Abbey Lawn on Saturday.
Joint boss Rob Middleton said: "Munton is showing good form again and I'm sure we will always get interest in taking him.
"But he has reassured me that he is enjoying his football here and he wants to stay. It's great news going forward."
Jake Mason (2), Dan Smith and Mark Tinsley were also on target against the Shopmates.
Middleton added: "We didn't really know what to expect because you must be on guard when a new manager comes into any opponent.
"We had the same situation at home to Huntingdon Town so I told the lads to take no notice of the league table.
"For the first time this season, we had every player available with strength in depth.
"But it didn't look like it was going to turn into a comfortable afternoon as Raunds seemed rejuvenated under the new manager in the early stages.
"After we took the lead, our keeper Garry Doran made a one-one-one save but we didn't learn from that and Raunds got an equaliser.
"I thought 'here we go again' until we settled down and won our personal battles.
"We were 4-1 up at half-time but there was a strong message to get across because we have never previously started well after the break.
"We had to make sure we were ready for Raunds coming back at us then we earned the right to play football.
"The last 25 minutes saw the best football so far this season at Bourne and I have to give credit to our supporters for turning up on a miserable afternoon.
"Our substitutes came on to prove a point which shows we have options off the bench.
"I'll need to think about the selection for next Saturday's game in a completely different challenge at Harrowby United."
