Year 11s invited to Pinchbeck football trials

Year 11 school leavers are being invited to attend an open trials session next week as part of Pinchbeck United’s new football academy and education scholarship scheme.

Run in conjunction with One Touch Football, the scheme offers students the chance to play and train full-time while studying for a BTec qualification.

The open trials session is being held on Wednesday night (April 7) from 6-8pm at the Glebe Field in Knight Street, Pinchbeck.

The Knights’ first team start their preparations for the forthcoming Kingfisher Lighting United Counties League Supplementary Cup campaign this weekend with their first friendly outing.

They then entertain Harborough Town next weekend in the first match of their group which also includes GNG Oadby, Lutterworth Town, ON Chenecks and Rothwell Corinthians.

Moulton Harrox also return to action on Saturday in a friendly against Deeping Rangers Reserves ahead of their opening match in the Peterborough Senior Cup next weekend when they will entertain Netherton United at Broad Lane.

All matches up to and including Saturday, April 10, must be played without spectators in line with Government guidance.
